Welcome to Division 4..... this is where it all begins!
Welcome to the EDYSL Division 4 web page. This year our club will embark on a new journey. After months of planning, we will begin our new Coach and Player Development Program for the Division 4 Program, formally known to some as “Home League”. This first year of our program will be designed for the U7, U8 and U9 (boys & girls) players.
The training will be presented both in a didactic and manipulative format which will cover a wide range of soccer topics. Many of these topics will be taught to our coaches and players by our EDYSL professional coaching staff. The first series of Coaching Clinics will start as soon as June, followed by our Team training programs in July. Many of the training topics covered will vary from:
- How to coach fun and effective practices
- Teaching the proper fundamentals for the appropriate age groups
- How to teach children the sport of soccer through fun and exciting games.
The majority of our curriculum is based from both the United States Soccer Federation curriculum as well as the Dutch Ajax Youth Training Program, which has proven to be the most successful in the world! With emphasis being placed on fun and ball mastery, your players are guaranteed to walk way with some valuable soccer nuggets.
