I WILL: • Abide by the Laws of the Game set forth by FIFA and/or modified in the EDYSL Bylaws. • Remember that players participate for the fun of the game and to meet new friends. Players increase self- esteem by mastering a skill. Players do not play just to please family members or coaches. • Remember that Coaches, Referees, Field Marshals/Culture Keepers and Board members are volunteers working countless hours for the youth of EDYSL. • Treat all Coaches, Referees, Players, Spectators and Volunteers with the same respect I expect in return. • Control my temper. I will not verbally abuse any players, coaches, referees, spectators or board members. • Remember that absolutely no dogs are allowed within 100 feet of any EDYSL game or practice field. • Be generous when our team wins; be graceful when our team loses. • Respect, support and assist all league volunteers in building the most positive program possible. • Respect and support all the children of EDYSL. • Appreciate that hard work and a dedication to gradual improvement are the keys to success in all areas of life. • Commit to getting my child to practice on time and communicate to my childs’ coach when practices will be missed. • Make each player a winner regardless of the final score or outcome, always working toward skill improvement and good sportsmanship. • Teach my child responsibility by cleaning up all field areas following any practice session or game.
