East Diablo Impact Professional Coaches/Trainers

Rick Morin  Rick Morin (doc@edysl.net)

Rick is the Club's Director of Coaching since 2007. Prior to that, he was the Director of Coaching at DVSC from 1999-2005. Rick's coaching experience includes US Soccer Club ODP U14 Girls Region IV head coach from 2003-2005, the Super Y U14 head coach 2003-2006, CYSA State ODP Asst coach U16 boys 1999, CYSA State ODP Asst Coach U15 boys 1998, CYSA State ODP Asst Coach U14 boys 1997, USISL Reno Rattlers Asst Coach 1995-1996 and the USISL Reno Rattlers Head Coach 1994.  Rick holds the following Licenses: USSF B License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.

 


 Paco Gonzalez (paco@edysl.net)  
Paco has been coaching High School for over 10 years as well as coaching competitive soccer for more than 8 years. Paco has 15 years of playing experience and still plays soccer for the Adult Men's League.  Paco holds a National D License.

 

 

 


Mike Krahnke (mike@edysl.net
Mike has been coaching and goalkeeper training in EDYSL for 18 years.  The last 12 years coaching competitions boys and girls teams.  He currently coaches the Boys U-18 Impact Lightning '93 and the Boys U-15 Impact Force.  Mike has coached The Liberty Union High School Districts Liberty High and Heritage High School Soccer Programs in different capacities for 11 years.  He co-started and Coaches the Bristow Middle School Soccer Team , a developmental league for the High School Soccer programs.   Mike is a BUSC, and Foothill High School alumni and still enjoys playing goalkeeper for the Brentwood Adult Soccer League.  Mike holds  USSF F, E, E/D and  CIF Coaching licenses, and a Grade 8 Referee license. 


 Mario Alejandro (mario@edysl.net)

Mario played for Alhambra High School Varsity Goalkeeper (All league) 1st team from 1990 to 1992.  During 1991 Mario played U.S. Mens National Futsal Team and competed in the 91' Futsal World Cup in Milan, Italy.  From 1992 to 1993 Mario played for Los Medanos Junior College where he was voted Most Versatile.  Mario played from 1995 to 2002 in the San Francisco Amateur League.  Mario coached the Clayton Valley High School Junior Varsity from 2004-2007.  He coached at Mt. Diablo Soccer League from 2004 to 2007 coaching Boys Class 1 U16 until U19 and trained U13 and U16 girls teams.  At Diablo Futbol Club 2008-2010, Mario coached U15/16 girls Class 1 and U9 Class 1 boys team.  He holds a USSF F Coaching license.


 Fernando Blanco (fernando@edysl.net)

Fernando's playing experience includes youth soccer in San Ramon and Dublin, the Men's league soccer in San Ramon, the adult Co-ed soccer in San Ramon and Antioch, and indoor soccer in San Ramon and Pittsburg.  Fernando began coaching from 1993 to 1995 for Dublin Youth Soccer League and has coached within EDYSL/Impact since 2003.   Fernando has also been refereeing since 2003 for various organizations and currently is a Grade 7 Referee.  Fernando holds a USSF E License and NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.


Luis Cervantes (luis@edysl.net)

Luis has played soccer since 1984; for the professional Mexican league for UNAM (Pumas), UAG (Tecos-Estudiantes), and semi-professional Liga Espanola-Mexico. He also played in San Francisco Liga Latina. Luis has been coaching and volunteering for Liga Latina, O'Hara Park Middle School and Impact Soccer. Most recently, he has been coaching Impact 98 Boys.  Luis currently hold a NSCAA Junior Level Vl Diploma. 

 


Rob Terry (rob@edysl.net)

Rob Terry graduated from Clayton Valley High School, where he played soccer from 1986-1990.  After high school, Rob played at Los Medanos College and at Orange Coast College.  Rob played professionally with the Sacramento Knights, NPISL, with the Division 1A Mexican team, La Piedad, for the Reno Rattlers, USISL,  and with the Sons of Italy in San Francisco from 1998-2002.

Rob has over 15 years coaching experience, having worked on staff at Diablo FC/DVSC from 1997-2008 prior to coming to our Club.  From 2005 to 2006, he was the Head JV Coach at Carondelet High School.  In 2007, Rob moved up to be a Varsity Assistant Coach for Carondelet where he continues today.   Rob has been an Impact Staff Coach since 2009.  He has a NSCAA National License.

  Tony Martins (tony@edysl.net)
Tony has been coaching high school soccer for 18 years; 15 years as head varsity coach at Liberty High School. Tony also coached at Cal State Eastbay College for 8 years and has been a coach for the Club for the over 15 years. Tony holds a National D License and holds a NCSAA National Diploma.

 


 Paul McIlvenny (paul@edysl.net)
Paul played and coached soccer in the UK prior to coming to the US. He has obtained his National D License and holds a NSCAA National Diploma; coaching with EDYSL since 2000. As of 2009, Paul is also now an ODP Staff Coach.

Mark began playing soccer in 1976; club competitive soccer, high school soccer and college. Mark started his coaching career with the Frank Mangiloia Soccer Camps, then from 1997-1999 Mark coached for Pleasanton Girls Soccer. In 1999 he started with EDYSL and has actively coached within our club ever since. Mark currently holds a NSCAA Regional Diploma, the NCSAA National Diploma and a USSF E/D License.


 Jeff TovaniJeff Tovani (jeff@edysl.net)
Jeff started his playing career in Walnut Creek, making the CYSA state team 3 of those years and also played San Francisco Major Division for 9 years. In 1986 and 1987 Jeff played for Foothill Junior College and later transferred to Chico State where he played from 1988 to 1990. Jeff's coaching career includes; coaching soccer camps for 14 years, Las Lomas High School coach 1984 & 1985, Strength and conditioning coach for Chico State Women's soccer team 1991, Freedom High School Girls Freshman soccer coach for 2 years and an EDYSL coach for the last 6 years. He is also a certified Personal Fitness Trainer – ACSM & ACE.  Jeff currently holds USSF F, E & E/D Licenses, a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma, and the NCSAA National Diploma.


 Marck Van den Oudenaller (marck@edysl.net)
Marck began playing soccer as a youth. Marck played 12 years competitive soccer as well as in high school. Marck continues to play today in the Brentwood Adult co-ed soccer league. His coaching experience includes 1 year at the recreational level and 3 years at the competitive level. Marck currently holds a USSF F License.

Gary has been an Impact Coach for approximately 4 years. He has coached under 14 Boys and U9-U10 Boys teams recently.  Gary was a youth player as well.

 Michael  played youth soccer for Diablo Valley Soccer Club, Walnut Creek Soccer Club and Northgate High School.  He played in the USL with San Francisco Seals and Central Coast Roadrunners. Michael has coached at FC Santa Barbara, Walnut Creek Soccer Club, Mt. Diablo Soccer League and at Alhambra High School, Campolindo High School and Northgate High School. Currently, he is an Assistant Coach at Carondelet High School. Michael has a USSF D license..


Marcos Matos photoMarcos Matos (marcos@edysl.net)

Marcos Matos played Soccer at the Military Police High School in Bahia, Brazil all four years.  After graduation, he continued to play soccer for the Military Policy Academy for all 4 years.  He played soccer and futsal in Brazil for another 6 years while also Head Coaching the Jequie Sport Club in Bahia, Brazil.  After immigrating to the United States in 2001, Marcos played in the Over-30 2nd Division East Bay Soccer League and coached for various churches and community teams in the East Bay.  Marcos speaks Portuguese and Spanish, as well as English.  He has achieved several NSCAA Coaching Diplomas:  Youth Level Diplomas I, II and Junior Level IV.

Bradlee DeShane  (bradlee@edysl.net)

New to Brentwood, and really enjoying it, Bradlee DeShane comes to Impact as an experienced and acclaimed player.   She lettered all 4 years at Colfax High School in Auburn, CA … earned all-league honors all four years of high school ... two year member of the All-Journal team ... named to the All-Sac metro team ... two-year varsity captain ... league MVP and first-team all-league as a senior.   Played Club soccer at Placer United.  Bradlee was a starting player and played a critical role in the Bulldog defense as a freshman and sophomore at Fresno State.  In 2010, she started every game her junior and senior years and finished with the "Most Minutes Played" and the "Most Games Started In a Row" records for Fresno State Soccer.  Also played midfield positions.  New to coaching, Bradlee has been helping Gary LaFleur with the JV girls soccer team at Heritage High School and loves it. She also helped out with many camps while playing in college.

Kim Vredenburgh

Kim Vredenburgh has been playing soccer her entire life; Club soccer for DeAnza Force, High School soccer at Monta Vista and college soccer at Chico State. Kim also played for the Sacramento Storm 1990 – 1993. Kim holds a USSF F License and has coached for EDYSL since 2003.


Keoni Clifford (keoni@edysl.net)
Keoni has been involved with EDYSL for more than 10 years, both coaching and volunteering.  Keoni has coached the Boys - Impact 94 Gold for over 5 years.   Keoni is working on his USSF E/D license.
